welcome to PRSM CREATIVE ACADEMY!

Hello there —

My name is Philip Rosales, and for four years I had the privilege of teaching design and branding at Icon Collective. Teaching changed my life. It showed me just how powerful it can be when artists truly understand their identity and have the tools to express it visually. For over 10 years, I’ve gathered knowledge about branding from working for design agencies, starting PRSM Creative Agency, working for ICON, and creating and branding my own music project Philocybin.

I created this 10-week course because I wanted to give that power back to the artists around me. The ones who are ready to take ownership of their vision, build something lasting, and stop waiting on others to bring their ideas to life.

PRSM Creative Academy is about empowerment — visually, strategically, and creatively. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your brand, I’ll be guiding you step-by-step to build something that feels like you.

Let’s build your brand together — from the ground up.

— Philip

Weekly Breakdown

Week 1: Brand Vision & Discovery Phase

We’ll kick things off by defining your core identity. Who are you as an artist? What do you stand for? You’ll dig deep and lay the groundwork for your entire brand strategy.

Week 2: Market Research & Brand Development

Learn how to study your genre, audience, and peers. We’ll position your brand with intention and make sure you’re not blending in with the noise.

Week 3: Building Your World

Your brand is more than just a logo — it’s a universe. We’ll start constructing a visual and emotional ecosystem that reflects your sound and personality.

Week 4: Brand Identity & Breaking Down Artist Brands

We’ll study real-world examples and break down what makes an artist brand work. You’ll develop your own identity with insights from successful case studies.

Week 5: Design Software & Logo Creation

Get hands-on in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I’ll walk you through the tools and techniques you need to begin designing your own artist logo from scratch.

Week 6: Album / Cover Art

Your music sounds like you — now let’s make sure it looks like you too. This week is all about translating sound into visuals. We’ll cover composition, typography, image sourcing, and emotional storytelling through your cover art.

Week 7: Short Form Content

Instagram Reels, TikToks, promos — we’ll dive into how to create scroll-stopping content that’s on-brand and easy to produce. You’ll leave with a repeatable content strategy and templates you can use forever.

Week 8: Merchandise, Mockups & Monetization

Learn how to design merch that feels like an extension of your world — and how to actually sell it. We’ll walk through mockups in Photoshop and break down the best platforms for artists to monetize their brand (Shopify, Printful, Bandcamp, and more).

Week 9: Live Shows, Production, & Visuals

Your brand doesn’t stop at the screen. We’ll explore how your identity can show up in your live shows — visuals, stage presence, motion graphics, lighting, and even audio branding.

Week 10: Style Guide, Brand Launch & Maintenance Phase

This final week is about pulling it all together. You’ll create a style guide — your brand bible — that keeps your identity consistent across every platform. We’ll also go over all the real-life tools I personally use: Dropbox, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and other systems for staying organized, consistent, and professional.

FAQ's

Q: How much does the course cost?

The full 10-week course is $499 for the first cohort. After this, the course will become $999. This includes 20 hours of live instruction, weekly worksheets, pro-level resources, and 30 days of free access to Adobe Creative Cloud.

Q: What if I can’t attend every live class?

Before each new cohort begins, I’ll send out a Google Form to collect everyone’s availability. I know life can get busy, and I’ll do my best to schedule our weekly sessions at a time that works for the group. That said, this course is designed to reflect the pace and commitment of the real creative industry — so showing up, staying consistent, and giving your all each week is part of the experience.

Q: Do I need to have design experience?

Not at all. This course is beginner-friendly and made for artists, not just designers. I’ll guide you through the basics of the Adobe programs, step-by-step. This course is not meant to make you a master of them— It is meant to inspire you to take hold of your own brand and learn the tools necessary to design your brand should you find that passion during our sessions. By the end of this course, though, you will have the branding and design knowledge to articulate your vision to other designers should you source them for your projects in the future.

Q: What do I need to participate?

You’ll need a laptop, stable internet, and a willingness to dive into the creative process. You don’t need to be a designer — I’ll walk you through everything step by step. This course is designed for artists who already have music ready to market — whether it’s released or unreleased. If you’re at the point where you’re ready to build a brand around your art, this course will help you bring it to life visually and strategically.

Q: When does it start?

The next session begins the week of June 30th, 2025. Classes will be held once a week via Zoom.

Q: Will I get feedback on my work?

Yes! Each week, we’ll do creative exercises during class, and I’ll encourage everyone to share their progress. This is a safe space to get comfortable putting your work out into the world. While there’s no formal homework, you’ll be asked to complete and submit weekly worksheets — and I’ll invite volunteers to share their work for feedback and discussion.

So —

Are YOU  ready to become the visual storyteller of your brand?

Let’s bring your vision to life.

*The class has already begun, a new class will begin in September, 2025.

See you in Class,

Philip
